Monteriggioni stands on the top of a gentle hill covered in olive groves and vineyards just a short distance from Siena.
The castle was founded in the second decade of the 13th century by the Republic of Siena, with the main aim of creating a defence line against their rival, Florence.
Its military function stopped in the mid `16th century, when the entire Siena State, that it was part of, was joined with Florence.
The village of Monteriggioni offers a broad range of spaces and solutions to celebrate civil weddings: spaces inside important historical buildings, walled gardens and the church that looks down onto the main square for religious ceremonies.
Based on my experience and knowledge, contacts with suppliers and wedding planners, I can help you and advise you if you would like to marry in this wonderful location.
